We are with you

We are working to ensure that every child is well and feels safe.

We were all children

The first 18 years of our lives are crucial, and children’s rights ensure these years can be as positive as possible. While laws define what children are entitled to, it’s ultimately adults—those who listen, care, and truly understand the unique, irreplaceable nature of childhood—who bring these rights to life. We work for and with children, striving to make Hungary a better place for every child.

Our Kid Colleagues (KiCo)

Our team includes volunteers aged 13–17. Though minors, they’re truly our colleagues, advising us and participating in training, conferences, and sometimes even taking on press interviews. They help us bring children’s perspectives into our work, aiming to raise awareness of child rights and make adults more receptive to young voices.

Sometimes we ask them for advice. Sometimes we go together to give a training course, or to present at a conference, or they do the interviews for us in the press.

They help us to bring children's perspectives into our own work.

The goal of the KiCo's is for children to know their rights and for adults to take better into account children's opinions.

Our volunteers

When we started in 2015, only six people were brainstorming ways to make Hungary a better place for children. Since then, our core team has doubled, and over 100 volunteers now assist us daily.

Different roles

All our programmes are supported by volunteers. All ages and many different disciplines are represented. There are lawyers, translators, web editors, SEO consultants, designers. Some co-ordinate a research project, others bring envelopes and help with the post (to make sure you get the Hintalovon present you choose from the donation shop on time).

Diversity is our strength

We are diverse, from many different backgrounds. Our diversity is our strength, and the belief that with the help and support of child rights, we can all do our part to ensure that the children living with and around us are well.
